Candle making fragrancing oils available in 30ml or 50ml sizes. Normal recommended usage is 5 -7% depending on strength of fragrance required.
Note ; calculating fragrance oil quantities is normally by weight, there are slight differences in the weight of each oil, but for general purposes and home candlemaking it can be considered that the weight is approximately the same as water, and that a mg equals a ml.
These oils are mostly synthetic, but some may also contain natural essential oils, do not inhale the scent directly from the oil but place a few drops on a dish of warm water to achieve a good scent for testing.
If you are looking to make an all natural candle then select from the range of essential oils elsewhere on this site, if you are looking for a heavily scented candle then you may have to up the oil volume and use a additive to assist oil holding such as bipol x or vybar which changes the wax structure and allows up to 3 times more oil retention capability.
Please remember scented candle making is a bit of a experiment, not an exact science, so some experimenting may be needed if your first attempt doesnt meet your expectations, NB the wicking used may also react differently from oil to oil , so again you may need to check wicking by epxerimentation before making batches of candles.
