Candle Pictograms 2019
These are from EN 15494:2019. This set of pictograms replace the the 2007 pictograms, with some images modified to simplify understanding, make more identifiable and bring up to date images like TVs etc.
NB Thousands of label sellers who have printed label stocks in tens of thousands can still use them as most pictograms are not a legal requirement, but still provide due diligence for the safe use of candles.
Mandatory Pictograms
General warning sign
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Keep away from things that can catch fire.
Keep away from children and pets.
Mandatory Pictograms for Certain Types
Use a heat resistant candleholder.
Use in a suitable bowl filled with water.
Optional Pictograms
Keep candles at least x cm apart.
Do not burn in a draught.
Do not place near a heat source.
Place candle upright.
Trim wick to x cm.
Snuff out the flame. Do not blow it out.
Keep the wax pool clear of matches and debris.
Do not move a burning candle.
Never use liquid to extinguish.
Remove packaging before use.
Trim edge if higher than x cm.
Only use in holders and warming stoves with sufficient ventilation.
This candle liquefies, use a suitable container.
Do not touch, may be hot.
Do not burn in a warming unit.
