Wick sustainers are for holding the wick in a container central and touching the container base, if fixed in with a small glue spot or wax glue, it keeps the wick central and upright through the candle burning process.
There are a lot of different wick sustainers on the market, as a general rule you would use the 15mm wick sustainers for tealight and votive's with the added option of using the 6mm neck wick tabs if you are concerned about the bottom of the cups and glasses getting too hot.
These sustainers are 15mm diameter base but have a larger hole than the standard , which is normally 2.5mm , but these wick sustainers are made with a 4.3mm hole allowing a wick of twice the size to be crimped, supplied in bags of 20 of each type
15mm Wick Sustainers
Crimp these sustainers to the base of your wick to hold the wick in place in pillar, container, and tealight candles. Very easy to fit by crimping with pliers
Self Centering Wick Tabs
Made for use in votive glasses when you have poured your wax just drop in the wick tabs and wick and it will drop to center. These tabs will only self centre in a standard 50mm votive glass
20mm Wick Sustainers
Crimp these sustainers to the base of your wick to hold the wick in place in larger pillar and container candles. Larger sized wicks will only fit in the hole of these larger sustainers
15+6mm Neck Wick Tabs
These wick tabs have a 6mm neck and are used if you want the candle wick to extinguish safely leaving a little wax. This does not replace the need for a suitable container or base.
