This is one of our special in house Candle making fragrance oils . Normal recommended usage is 5 -7% depending on strength of fragrance required. We have successfully trialled this blend and achieved a good scent throw using Pro C low melt wax at approximate 5% ratio with our type PCW18 container wicks. Can be used for wax melts with fantastic results.
Note ; calculating fragrance oil quantities is normally by weight, there are slight differences in the weight of each oil, but for general purposes and home candle making it can be considered that the weight is approximately the same as water, and that a mg equals a ml.
PF 76561 - CYPRESS & OLIVE
Fresh, citrus, aromatic top notes of cypress and bergamot rounded with a hint
of white florals, with spiky pine needle oil, cypress oil giving the
impression of fresh juicy olives, and rooted with cedarwood and patchouli.
These oils are partly synthetic, but some may also contain natural essential oils, do not inhale the scent directly from the oil but place a few drops on a dish of warm water to achieve a good scent for testing.
If you are looking to make an all natural candle then select from the range of essential oils elsewhere on this site, if you are looking for a heavily scented candle then you may have to up the oil volume and use a additive to assist oil holding such as bipol x or vybar which changes the wax structure and allows up to 3 times more oil retention capability.
Please remember scented candle making is a bit of a experiment, not an exact science, so some experimenting may be needed if your first attempt does not meet your expectations, NB the wick used may also react differently from oil to oil , so again you may need to check wick by experimentation before making batches of candles.
